How much time does it take to create a digital story?
It will take the average digital storyteller about sixteen hours to complete a digital story. This would include the writing, editing, recording the voice over, scanning, photo manipulation, adding music, and sound effects (optional). and the final video editing and exporting.
Which platform should I use - a MAC or PC?
Scott County Schools is a dual platform district. We have teachers who create digital stories with their students using both platforms. We have found, and are in agreement with the Center for Digital Storytelling, that when working with digital video and video editing software, the integrated technology of the Mac seems easier for our students and teachers (grades 1-12).
